Well sorry that it has been so long my dears!! I haven't posted since I got back form Lisbon but there is a very good explanation for that! its because I got back and then posted things and then had a test to study for :/ mrack! tests do happen in spain unfortunately. To keep my parents (and hopefully some other special people) from freaking out that i'm not posting i'll try and get you guys barcelona days 1&2:
good story to preface with:
so the guy that planned this whole study abroad shindig comes and talks to our class on wednesday right. so he is telling about what goes into planning this trip and how he wants to expand it and this guy is old and PRECIOUS and super entertaining so i'm smiling the whole time and he keeps looking at me and i'm just enjoying his presentation right. well he starts to talk about safety and utters this sentence: "I mean none of your parents were worried about you coming to Spain right..."
BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
my head just hits the desk and I make an emily noise and giggle as like steven and a few other people that know the state of my parents minds look at me, and then when i come up I am bright red and the ENTIRE class is staring at me. nice parents. smooth.
So we left for Barcelona on Thursday after we had a test on wednesday. which btw I AM PRETTY SURE I ROCKED IT!! YAY. and we celebrated with a pool day. which i have solved the mystery of why spanish people love the pool so freaking much. its just as hot as it is in texas BUT NO ONE HAS FREAKING AIR CONDITIONING. i am sweating to death in my room with the window open getting like zero cross breeze. rawr.
anyway on our way to Barcelona we stopped in Zaragoza which was a very pretty town with a Cathedral (gasp). I know all the cathedrals are probably blurring together for you guys, but I really liked this one and most of the cathedrals never cease to amaze me. this one was no different it was super sweet and brynnan and I got to ride an elevator up to the top of the tallest tower. ballin? yeah it was :)
So then we just continued on our merry way to Barcelona after that...when we got to barcelona we heard there was this big party on the beach for the summer solstice. dude party on the beach? i'm there right. and so what they do at this party (as told to us by our professor who is peruvian) is they wait until midnight and then everybody rushes into the water. DUDE THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT. So we master the subway in barcelona and ride down to the beach. which is very pretty, but i mean its night so we can't see much. we get there at like 11 and just chill and walk around til it starts nearing 12.
12 is fast approaching and we are super stoked and then it hits!!!.....
NO ONE MOVES
seriously. there isn't even a glance towards the water by these spaniards. we all look like complete newbs chillin in our group with our swimsuits on. so maybe its on spain time right (aka everything runs late) so we wait til like 12:15, still no movement. finally at 12:30 we are pretty sure nothing is going to happen. lame freaking sauce. bust.
so then i went home and went to bed. none the wetter, but all the more fun because i got to hang out with b fink all night :) hehehehehheh
also there is no photo documentation of this event since i assumed i would be running into the water...
DAY 2
we took a bus tour of Barcelona and the first stop was Sagrada Familia. which is this giant unfinished cathedral in barcelona that the city is famous for. (aren't all the cities...hehehe) but this was like the coolest architechture ever cathedral. its not finished because all of the stuff takes so long to make and its just crazy but it cool; look it up on wikipedia if you so choose because the wifi is UBER slow and the pictures don't do it justice so make wiki will hehe :) but yeah this this was cool. and there are cranes all over the place finishing it up:
Then we went to the location of the 1992 Barcelona olympics which was really neat. and toured that:
We took a nice stop for a beautiful view:
and then we ended our lovely morning (which is now like early afternoon...) with a tour of this BEAUTIFUL garden/park type thing that was done by Gaudi, who is a famous spanish architect and these people LOVE THIS GUY. i have heard about him about a zillion times since i came to spain, he is probably second only to like Don Quixote:
There were these park musicians that were fantastic according to b fink. (lets be honest i didn't know any different...) but they were pleasant so we watched them for a bit :)
Then we just had a free afternoon where I napped and then we grabbed a bite to eat!! very nice first 2 days of barcelona!
I'll try and get the 3rd day up but I have my finals on thursday so I make no promises!
Love,
Emily

Where is Marcela when you need her?
Portugal. day 2. I was informed today that portuguese is the hardest romance language to learn. go team. i was also informed that most people in portugal speak english because they start teaching them at like age 5. why didn't angola get the message? let the record show that my kids will be bilingual even if they don't want to be. so. help. me.
today we got a tour of Lisbon; you know what the most fabulous part of this tour was? it was what is referred to as a "panoramic tour" AKA YOU GET TO STAY ON THE BUS THE WHOLE TIME AND THEY JUST DRIVE YOU AROUND. mmmmmmm yes; air conditioning ftw!
Lisbon is a really pretty city with nice architecture and more pretty views and these views included the water!!! ahhh, yay atlantic ocean :) :)
The first time we got out of the bus we went into a church. I've noticed that most of the Spanish cathedrals we tour have all their carvings in stone, well in portugal they had everything in gold. it was pretty glitzy. and pretty
We saw a lot more impressive buildings and monuments...i mean to be fair i can't even remember most of american history so i am bound to forget all the stuff that portugal deems worthy of erecting a statue for. But its all very pleasant to look at and I enjoy all our tours even though i have no clue why stuff i'm looking at is important.
This is where parliament is though!
Then they drove us right up to the water!
The Tagus river flows right through Lisbon and into the atlantic so they drove us right up next to it!
And there is a monument that points to the south...Lisbon is a port city it made perfect sense to me to have a giant monument pointing south:
Then i had the bright idea that we should pose as the people in the monument. the girls loved it:
then we decided to spell out portugal with our bodies: seemed like a fun idea to me; naturally however i got stuck with the most awkward letter EVER. G. really? g? come on! i tried really hard though :) we are precious!
its lowercase btw....
okay so HILARIOUS story time.
at this particular monument we decided to take a group photo; and by decided i mean all of our professors were like "GET TOGETHER!! NOW" and so we all complied. so we are taking this group photo and lingering nearby is an asian man....he is just like on the outskirts of our group creepily looking at us; then he starts to take a photo of our group....like we are all here posed for our photo and he just decides he wants a picture of all too. then some other asian walks by and sees him taking a picture of us and is literally like "omgsh i want to be IN the picture" so he runs up and gets in our picture pretty soon like no joke about 30 asian people are coming OUT OF THE FREAKING WOODWORK and start taking pictures with our group. i kid you not people; these people were not even together they were just all asian and all wanted a picture with some american kids. like they had never seen americans before. so we literally spent like 20 minutes as near celebrities to the asians just snapped a picture with like each of us individually and they kept doing the peace sign...it was the weirdest most hilarious moment in my life. i felt like a goober not getting a picture with them too but yeah. i, emily daniel, everyday american girl am a celebrity to some random asian group of people. and i can't even get more specific than asia because NONE of the people spoke english.
good times.
Then we toured another cathedral!! I will never get tired of cathedrals with arches. idk how i'm going to incorporate arches into my house if i ever have the wonderful privilege to build my own house but they will be there for sure because i love them. sharn get greg on this :) hehehe
So then every afternoon in portugal was a free afternoon. So we got this freaking fantastic deal for lunch at a place called Jeronymo. I got a sandwich and drink and little expresso shot all for 5 euro. and i tried out the "famous" portugal pastry. the buzzword from the tour guide today was FAMOUS PASTRY haha.
Like i said, every afternoon is free, which is great is you actually know what you want to do in this place. I am seriously regretting not buying some sort of guide book for all these countries. And i mean i could buy a guidebook now to be fair but it would all be in portuguese/spanish so how would i know what stuff i actually wanted to visit? So anyway we just wandered around the city some and then we went to this portuguese mall. yeah i spent an afternoon just walking around the mall like a middle school mall rat. and just walking around going into like no stores because yet again i found myself with eli, steven and brynnan.....i really need new shopping buddies hehehe :) i just enjoy my company so much though that i deal with their constant terrible shopping strategies. seriously though i didn't even mall rat around the mall when i was in middle school!! but we heard there was a roller coaster in this mall so we had to check it out. duh.

So we wandered around the mall and found this roller coaster. well you could call it a roller coaster if you never spent a summer with a fiesta texas season pass, but i would call this more of a thrill ride hehe. It was 3 euro for 3 rides around the tracks but i think this guy was digging me and brynnan and we were the only people the ride so he let us go 5 times!! :) hehehehehhe
yeah and so we kept our hands up the whole time and were yelling in this tiny little mall area to make it even more fun. i think the guy wold have let us go around more times but our plan of yelling and keeping our hands i'm pretty sure backfired because everyone watching must have thought we were having a boatload of fun and then some people got in line hahaha.
so that was my fabulous day 2 in portugal :)
stayed tuned for tomorrow: "do i look like i do drugs?"
it should be good :) heheh
i love you all! :)

Tu eres la leche
Oh my poor little blog followers; you must feel so deprived hehehe! well i have been in Portugal since friday afternoon. I didn't bring my computer because it takes up a lot of room and is rather heavy and when you have to carry all your own luggage well, things get knocked off hehe. So i am rettibly sorry to have been out of touch for the past few days!! Here is a recount of my portugal adventuras!
So today we left for lisbon. We left at 6AM in the morning on the bus; it was not cool; very not cool. but on our way to Lisbon we stopped in a town called Evora and checked out the old city there. I really enjoy how all of our tour guides give us not so subtle political commentary while telling us what is going on in whatever landmark we are in. Basically i found out portugal is poor and no one can get a job......thanks tour guide lady. maybe it has something to do with the fact that your entire country takes like 2 hours to drive across. i'm not even in college station from san antonio in 2 hours, but i can get to the atlantic ocean in portugal.....yeah conquer spain then we'll talk portugal.
but before we got the the old city in Evora we went through this beautiful garden! and way to go portugal you're so rocking you don't have just any old pigeons walking through your gardens....DO SIREE. what do they have just wandering around? PEACOCKS. ahhhhhh freaking sweet.
i stalked the male so i could get something interesting.
So Evora was pretty sweet; it was a roman city so we saw an old temple built to honor the roman goddess diana:
This girl and I shorts matched....now we are friends? hehe
There were things left from the renaissance too:
As with all cities I have visited in Europe this one was on a hill and there fore had some great views:
Something unique to lovely portugal though is their love for cork. yes cork. "CORK WORLD IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS?!" is not a phrase you would hear like ever in portugal i'm pretty sure. sorry future house mates, i did not buy us any coasters....which seems a little foolish not that i look back on it, but i don't think they were that cheap and european coasters was just a little too uppity for my taste... :) hehe
one of you may receive a fabulous cork purse though?
lets see....who do i hate most? hehehehhe jk i didn't purchase one of these RARE TREASURES.
random note: so while i wait for my pictures to upload i a looking at gap.com, the model this season has red hair and she is working a fedora :( WHY CAN'T I WORK THE FEDORA?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!? ugh this has to be the greatest disappointment in all of europe and still haunts me :(
So after we checked out Evora we drove to Lisbon where i took a nap!!!!!!!! :) woot; yay then we went out to eat at night and sort of checked out Lisbon.
Also to go eat we had to take the metro. Let me just say that while is Portugal, Brynnan Fink and I have MASTERED the metro. I think we should definitely get one of these things in texas. they are like super duper fun and totally easy and just the bomb. way to go metro.
So that was Day 1 in portugal....I was there for 3 more days so i will work on getting all the fun times conveyed to you lovely followers! :)

MALAGA!
ahhh the beach :) the beautiful reason i haven't been able to post in days :) also i finally got homework in my classes so i work ont hat until like 9 and then i come home for dinner and then i mostly sleep
this past weekend i went to Malaga which is a coastal city:
We left on friday night and it was like a 4 hour drive on a bus from Cuidad Real (south of madrid). and we found our hostel okay!! :) i felt so european staying a hostel!!
A hostel for those of you who aren't aware is just a cheap place to stay where you pay for you night by bed. you stay in a room with a bunch of beds and most likely people you don't know. its a cheap way for young people to travel :)
The drive was INCREDIBLY beautiful though through lots of mountains and when there weren't mountains there were just fields :) Spain and apparently all of europe is all into different energy sources so there are literally miles (or should i say kilometers hehehe) of sunflowers that they use for biodeisel. i took this picture for my lovely lady meeshie :)

Malaga was such a beautiful city and we just wandered around friday night and got food:
Then on saturday we drove about 30 minutes to a really nice beach and stayed there until like 6:
I bought myself some 7 euro shade and was happy unburnt camper for the day! It was while i was soaking up the sun with a beautiful breeze blowing that I realized: i think everyone else on earth that doesn't have texas beaches as their regular beach experience actually has a pleasant experience at the beach. So far I have been to the pacific in california, the gulf IN mexico, and now the mediterrean and this is what i have noticed. everywhere else has an actual breeze. you don't just sit in your sweat and burn. there is a legitimate need for a casual beach sweater in other parts of the world. who knew all those magazines and models i scoffed at in their covered up beach attire were actually normal? way to go spain for opening my eyes to fabulous beach experience :)
this is me in the MEDITERRANEAN SEA!! :)
After the beach we went back to the hostel and had dinner there for 5 euro we got a GIANT dish of paella and a drink :) yay cheap delicious homemade meals!
On Sunday we drove through Grenada on our way home and went to La Alhambra which a giant compound of moorish palaces and a citadel. it was just palace after palace and fantastic building after fantastic building. with gardens and fountains like everywhere you looked. it was so beautiful and i had a blast there. mmmm if i ever have the means i want to hire a gardener and just have flowers EVERYWHERE. because lets be honest people i don't have the attention span to maintain a garden.
And of course this place was on a hill so it came equipped with fantastic views
Yep the Alhambra was super neat.
So all in all a pretty fantastic week.
The everyday week is a lot of me just going to school and loving spain but still just day to day activities. I have a ton of work because after all i am in summer school, but dr. olivera's philosophy is to make us do a ton of work during the week and then nothing on the weekends because he wants us to have the spanish experience. so this weekend i will go to lisbon, portugal (thanks ticket to ride for showing me where that is :) hehe) and i will try and keep posting as often as i get the chance! but i like sleep too :) hehe
love you all and miss you,
Emily

SNAILS! AHHHH
yeah guys i tried them. i only got one down. these were just not happening for me. you have to take them out with a tooth pick...no no no no no no no no no no. no. never again. my host mom and sister don't even like them; so i didn't feel bad going NO MAS.
yeah disgusting.
today was a pretty normal day otherwise i just went to class and then came home and hung out with my family. They feed me hehe.
They make this like huge breakfast spread for me every morning where i eat choc-crispies (oh yeahhh i let them know i like chocolate cereal hehe) and then like 2 pieces of toast and for these two little pieces of toast they provide like 6 different jams. and there is no grape. what?! they haven't even heard of grape jelly! weird.
Thank goodness they made me something other than snails for dinner too. tonight i experienced guiso. it is a soup. mine had ribs and potatoes in it and it was fantastic :) meat and potatoes in a soup. now theres something i can get used to!
right now i am watching what i'm pretty sure is like the spanish equivalent of jay leno or something. there is a sketch about a flute and a dog....my host dad is amused? yeah, and now the weather is on. apparently the daniel's aren't the only ones who sit around and watch the weather....next thing i nknow the TV will be on mute :) hehe
so yeah. average day. pretty sweet. still loving spain
Love,
Emily

PRAISE THE LORD!!
They are Christians! :) I got to meet my family last night :) yeah i pretty much got the best host family here. i am already in love with them! They are exactly what I prayed for and I am so thankful to the LORD for answering my prayers (and probably a bunch of other people's too). They speak perfect english; my mom, Pilar is an english teacher at the gypsy school and my dad Luis is the pastor at like the only protestant church in cuidad real. there are actually 3; his parish is like 80 people and the other two parishes are 20 people approximately.
We have already talked about our testimonies and they are just incredible people that the LORD placed me with. They have 2 daughters Deborah and Becky. I laugh a little bit every time i say their names because they kind of remind me of like 90s sitcom characters or something hehe. "yeah mom, i'm goign to hang with debby and becky after school!" hehehhe. Deborah speaks a little bit of english; she is SUPER BEAUTIFUL like wow. so pretty!! and then becky is in school in madrid right now and will come home on saturday but i will be in Malaga. The only thing i know about becky is that she is a slob bahahhaha. that is like the only thing anyone has said about her hehe. like on my first tour of the house pilar showed me every room and when we got to becky's she was like yeah...the is becky's room, she is terribly messy. and then deborah just got home from university the day i got here and she was all embarrassed because apparently she is super tidy and hadn't had time to clean her room yet and she was like i'm so sorry, i'm the neat one...ya ya ya hehehehhehe. and thn luis pretty much said the same thing. good grief becky, get your act together haha.
I have my own room and last night they cooked me this delicious dinner!! I wanted to be helpful so I asked Pilar if i could do anything, she gave me one job....turn the sausages....yeah. we had mildly burnt sausages. woops; even in spain i can't be trusted hahahaha. Then she cooked this other thing that is like a spanish omelette; it has eggs and potatoes in it but it is like cutable; idk if you get it, its kind of hard for me to describe but there was cheese in it too. it was so good:
notice the slighty burnt sausage in the corner of the picture?
then for dessert we had apple and plum crumble. AAAHHHHHHH IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD. and then we poured cream all over it (milk btw comes from a box here, so all you little elementary schoolers out there that freak out about the milk cartons and had to use a straw because you don't like your lips touching the carton, well in spain, you're screwed. all milk comes from a box). but back to the crumble. it rocked, i don't even like apples but i liked this, i think it was the plum that made it so good; i need to try me some plum.
something that is super weird here though is they consider fruit a dessert. no me gusta. yeah that wasn't happening for me...
So that was all last night me meeting them and loving them.
Today classes started and I LOVE MY TEACHER. He is from peru and he is so precious. he has us call him paco. yeah Dr. Olivera is THE BOMB. i really like my class too :) i seem to be understanding everything fine so that's pretty sweet and i'm basically just bopping along in spain.
after classes I was allowed to be in charge of the map too. yeah brynnan and elizabeth trusted me to get us to our next location and i did not disappoint if i do say so myself! we were supposed to find a grocery store and i led us to one :) if not directly i still got us there. so the spanish grocery store was an experience. THEN i got us to the main plaza. aka plaza mayor. and on the way i found an H&M mwahahahhahahahha :) and then i took us to this beautiful park that had fountains and flowers and benches everywhere. it was like something out of a movie. i loved it! i wish i could have taken pictures but my camera battery is dying.
and kyndall mandry before you say something along the lines of typical emily move. i only have one converter for all of my things; so i can only charge on thing at a time; so its a choice between my computer; my phone and my camera battery and the past two nice the camera battery lost. so thats why the pictures are lacking today; but its charging now so i will have more for you tomorrow!
and now for the silly story of the day:
so after the beautiful park experience Liz and I started walking home (we live like across the street from each other). people are really good at stopping for pedestrians here; like people go out of their way to slam on the breaks if you are even just waiting to cross the street. spanish people must have incredible breaks because they are always slamming on them and parking on hills and such. so anyway we start crossing the street and everyone in spain spends a ton of time outside because the weather is completely fantastic so this family is out and dad is pushing the stroller across the cross walk and the kid in this stroller is like 2/3. so then dad hits a crack in the road and kid is strapped in and so dad accidentally pushes him face first into the pavement. OMGSH it was all i could to keep a straight face. this is simultaneously horrible and hilarious. i am like about to pee my pants on teh inside but on the outside i'm like "oh noo poor kid"...i mean but really what am i supposed to do? i don't speak spanish and i don't have any medical help for this kid. but omgsh his face when he came up from this faceplant was PRICE. it was just pure terror. think of taylor walling's face when i accidentally tackled her while walking to blocker. the two are very similar. it was that face that is like i am in complete shock and i want to cry but my emotions can't get sorted out fast enough to do anything so i am just going to have this look of horror on my face instead.
i had toast for breakfast and then lunch at the university is provided:
so all around it was a great second day with my host family. :) my mom made me pizza for dinner :) it was delicious and i had more apple crumble for dessert.
tomorrow i might try snails. my dad loves them....yeah snails. bleck.
i love you all,
Emily

after classes I was allowed to be in charge of the map too. yeah brynnan and elizabeth trusted me to get us to our next location and i did not disappoint if i do say so myself! we were supposed to find a grocery store and i led us to one :) if not directly i still got us there. so the spanish grocery store was an experience.
:) my mom made me pizza for dinner :) it was delicious and i had more apple crumble for dessert.
tomorrow i might try snails. my dad loves them....yeah snails. bleck.
i love you all,
Emily
WE GET HARD HATS TODAY?! score! :)
Today we get to tour ANOTHER DAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) woot hehehe. this one was in the process of being built though! These cool spanish engineer's let us check out the construction of the dam. first they gave us an engineering presentation though.
I'm not sure how many people out there now reading this (still, go you guys!) are engineers but one of my favorite thing about engineering presentations is how many people they take. I go to experience this with SAWS and it is something I find completely hilarious. IT doesn't matter that there will only be one person presenting about an engineering subject matter, they will still haul 8 other people out there to "help" with the presentation. So during the presentation its just one dude talking for like 15 minutes and 8 other dudes standing there watching him. All these people may be involved in the project in some way but i'm pretty sure it only takes this one guy to give the presentation and all these other guys were just like "ummmm yeah i should probably be there right boss...". Oh what people won't do to get out of work :) hehe.
So we got throught his HILARIOUS presentation :) and went to the bus and they gave us all hard hats and vests!! YAY!! The girls took a cute little pic:
Then we got to visit this channel thing where they just move water around through it and we got to see how they control flooding and whatnot. more technical stuff that I am loving:
Something I was not loving however were there doors. Yeah those are doors in case you didn't know. so how cool would it be to watch these doors move up and down right? yeah i thought so too; well these were nice engineers and they weren't about to deprive us of our wishes, so there were like yeah we are going to show you that of course. you can watch the doors move. yeah what they didn't tell us what they move AN INCH EVERY HOUR. So they are like okay, we're making the doors move now.....every is staring intently.....is it working?? yes of course it is working...i mean we hear machines going and stuff.....yeah an inch an hour. I'm pretty sure those spanish dudes were just cracking up inside and had to everything in their power not to just burst from laughter.
i think we got duped. haha
But then the next thing we did was check out a water distribution facility! OH YEAH BOY!!!!!!!!!!!! and guess who knew exactly what was going on....me. and guess who knew what jobs all the machines performed....me. and guess who was explaining things to the rest of the class......ME.
yeah that pretty much happens once every blue moon for me in engineering so i was just soaking it up for the 15 minutes that it lasted. and it was actually a really cool facility! They intake water from the channel i showed you earlier and most of the water is used for agricultural purposes and so they showed us the sprinkler system...
pretty intense eh? kind of puts our system to shame dad hehehe. :) Well this system is not only huge but its solar powered! also there is a little sim card in the pumps SO YOU CAN START YOUR SPRINKLERS VIA TEXT MESSAGE! yeah dude; its insane; farmers just have to send a text and their crops get waters. NUTS. it totally blew my mind
Then the Spanish people took us to a super fancy restaurant for lunch; the view from which was INCREDIBLE!! AHHHH. spain is so pretty; i love the landscapes and looking at everything and how laid back everyone's lifestyle is :) it is MUY FABULOUSO!
So as a mentioned, this restaurant was SUPER DUPER fancy. We got this four course meal that obviously very high end. Even though Texas A&M thinks my dad is a millionaire, i'm really glad my family isn't super uppity and doesn't eat at these types of places; i will take my alamo cafe thank you. So i tried a bunch of crazy stuff this meal. I am here for the experience so I am more than happy to try things but I don't want to make a habit out of eating freaky things....on this trip I have essentially mastered the art of eating things that taste insanely terrible and keeping a relatively pleasant expression on my face.
I will say however that the absolute best part of this meal apart from the fact that it was free was the bread. by far the best bread i have had in spain. an bread is like chips and salsa; they just keep bringing it out to you and so you can fill up on this stuff if you don't like the meal; which i am more than happy to do! :) hehehhe but actually I have been clearing my plate despite the funkadelic things they eat hehehhehe.
So bread:
Notice the fancy tablecloths :)
Then we had pate; its a french thing and so the word has a weird looking a and e that i can't put in here but pate is finely ground meat and fat minced together into a spreadable paste. do you know what this meat typically is? the plan was not to tell me until i had tried to pate but someone didn't get the message and they let it slip that this stuff is goose liver meat. yeah that's why it was so minerally....thanks for that addition steven :)
and that little brown sauce there? chocolate you say. WRONGO! it was balsamic vinegar sauce. just another surprise in this treat :) haha. but let me say i down this stuff LIKE A CHAMP! i should start taking pictures of my empty plates too so you people believe me ahaha
Next dish was was i deemed a quiche...apparently only plebians eat quiche and steven launched into another explanation of what this dish was. All I know is it had an egg base with stuff mixed in and I'm pretty sure it was baked...yeah that sounds like quiche to me dude. The stuff that was mixed in was mushrooms and spinach. YEAH DOWN IT LIKE A CHAMP AGAIN FOOLS. i only picked out 2 count them 2 mushrooms because towards the end it was too much to handle haha.
The sauce made it way more bearable btw :) hehehe
next dish was steak. this steak was so rare and juicy you would have thought they just killed the cow today and didn't have time to cook it for us. it was really good meat and super tender and i loved it. i guess thats because i'm a carnivore barbarian who loves her meat raw :) so i ate this with an honest pleasant expression on my face hehe.
The last dish (dessert) was actually quite pleasant as well :) It was this like lemon flavored milk and usually i hate milk but i think my love for milk based products just overruled that childish tendency :) hehhee and i drank this DRANK (hehehehe) right down ya'll! and then we had freaking incredible coffee. i think i will bring back coffee and drink it at home; because it is so strong and good and i totally dig it.
oh yeah and we had white wine instead of red. reminded me of champage vaguely. derishious.
tonight I will meet my host family and I will post all about them tomorrow
Love you all,
Emily
